Just in time for the annual U.S. observance of Veterans Day, Delta has been selected as one of the “Top-Rated Workplaces: Best by Veterans” by Indeed, the world’s No. 1 job site.
Delta landed at No. 3 on the Top 10 list, honoring companies that have received the highest ratings by users of Company Pages, Indeed’s database of over 100 million company ratings and reviews from employees based on several criteria, including ratings/reviews from veterans.
“We are immensely proud to receive this award as a validation of our veteran hiring efforts,” said Carol McDaniel, Director — Talent Acquisition. “As a U.S. Air Force veteran I have a tremendous responsibility and ability to affect how Delta reflects the global communities we serve. We are committed to hiring and developing an inclusive workforce and we are intentional about our efforts across the globe.”
The list of honorees in this category is diverse, and includes companies specializing in finance, real estate, retail, healthcare, hospitality, government contracting and law enforcement.
As the review states: “Delta employs over 10,000 veterans and is a participant in the 100,000 jobs mission [now Veterans Jobs Mission], whose goal is to hire 100,000 [now one million] transitioning service members and veterans [among more than 200 companies] by the year 2020. Delta also showcases stories of their employees with military backgrounds on a dedicated military hiring page, spotlighting skills like aviation mechanics and technical operations.”
Indeed provides job seekers with free access to search for jobs, post resumes and research companies. The site’s analytics team identified reviews from veterans in its database to come up with the rankings, then dug deeper to find out about specific initiatives supporting veterans in the top ten.
This is Delta’s third recognition from Indeed this year. In June, Delta ranked No. 4 on Indeed’s “Top-Rated Workplaces: Best by Millennials” list, and in July the company ranked No. 4 Indeed’s “Top Rated Workplaces: The 50 Best.”
