For the second consecutive year, Delta Cargo has achieved the highest level of industry recognition by being awarded an Air Cargo Excellence Award in the up to 999,900 tonnes category. This year the airline was given a Diamond Award, which is two categories up from the Gold Award achieved last year. This is a recognition by our customers who scored Delta Cargo’s operational performance, customer service, value and technology with 111 points – the highest overall score in the Awards cargo carriers program for 2019.
“These record high scores achieved across all the categories, including customer service, is an important recognition of all the work we are putting into increasing the transparency in the cargo shipment process,” said Shawn Cole, Vice President – Delta Cargo. “Through our innovative product range with tracking options, such as the DASH Critical service, the emphasis on increasing our digital offerings, and our continued focus on operational reliability with improved on-time performance and delivery notification (NFD), we are tirelessly working to make it easier to do business with Delta.”
Launched in 2005, the Air Cargo Excellence Awards are determined from the results of the exclusive, anonymous survey. Carriers were evaluated by freight forwarders, who were asked to give a numerical rating for customer service, performance and value in 2018 operations.
